Dilutional Hyponatremia (Siadh)
Dilutional hyponatremia is a condition in which not enough sodium i.e. salt present in the body fluids. In the human body, sodium is mostly found in fluids present outside the cells. When this level starts dropping, water moves inside the cells in order to balance the levels. This results in swelling of the cells. Most of the cells are able to handle the swelling except brain cells. And due to brain swelling, a person experiences its symptoms. Some of the alternative names of the condition are hyponatremia, Hypovolemic hyponatremia, euvolemic hyponatremia and Hypovolemic hyponatremia.
